Description:
The Gonstead Technique is known around the world for being the most safe and effective method of chiropractic care. Dr. Meinecke can give you a specific adjustment to restore function to your spine and nervous system.
The Gonstead Chiropractic method was created by Dr. Clarence Gonstead in 1923 and remains the ultimate standard and leader in chiropractic techniques. Gonstead Chiropractic focuses on the body’s foundation: the pelvic girdle and the spine. When the hip bones and vertebrae are aligned, optimum health can be achieved. However, these two areas are often tilted or rotated out of position and can cause detrimental changes in the body. If a vertebra is misaligned, there is an uneven pressure in the disc that causes it to swell and pinch the nerves that run through the area; this is known as a subluxation. Being able to identify and correct these misalignments is an important part of the Gonstead Method.
In our office we take pride in our practice and the procedures we take to better your health. During your initial visit, your x-rays will be taken and analyzed for subluxations. Then at each visit, we use our tempescope (a device that measures temperature down the spine) to determine heat from inflamed nerves, joints, discs, and soft tissue surrounding vertebrae. Adjustments are then made on our various adjustment tables using the “hands only” Gonstead Method.
